Protecta Insurance brings you Caffeine and Classics — a monthly brunch open to all vehicles and held on the last Sunday of each month at Smales Farm, just 5km north of the Auckland Harbour Bridge. From 9am to 12pm.

Last Thursday of every month: Hamilton Cock & Bull Classic Car Cruise-in

May 7: Auckland Mustang Owners Club Auction

To be held at the Northern Sports Car Club rooms, Mount Richmond Domain, 1110 Great South Road, Otahuhu, 3pm to 6pm. The Auckland Mustang Owners Club is hosting a monster auction to raise funds for its upcoming convention. Items include, but are not limited to, tool chests, socket/wrench sets, kitchen appliances, art work, kiddies’ toys, automotive items and vouchers, plus some unique offerings — something for everyone! Come along support the club and have a great afternoon spending money. Compliment­ary snack food available, and the bar will be open!

May 15: The Sound MG Charity Classic Race Meeting

Manfeild Park Circuit, Feilding. This 18th annual event is a low-key outing designed for older classics and historic vehicles, and, once again, vintage carclub members are invited to enter. All gate proceeds will be donated to charity, and the Cancer Society NZ alone has benefited from over $150K since the event commenced some 18 years ago. May 30–June 1: Queen’s Birthday at Queen’s Wharf

Queen’s Birthday at Queens Wharf is a free annual event that brings the best bits of Great Britain to downtown Auckland in a three-day event attracting more than 80,000 people. As part of the celebratio­n, British sports, music, objects, food, culture, and machines are all displayed throughout Shed 10, The Cloud, and Queens Wharf, and shared with the attending public. Cars are the jewel in the crown of this event — with vehicles spanning 100 years of British motoring history being displayed by retailers and clubs. This year, new Mclaren, Bentley and Aston Martin models will share floor space with old MGS, Daimlers, Minis, a double-decker London bus, and brand-new Jaguars. July 15–17: Gore Vintage Car Club 50th Anniversar­y

The Gore Branch cordially invites all past and present members and supporters to join it for its 50th anniversar­y celebratio­ns. On Friday, there’ll be a noggin and natter; on Saturday, a rally and dinner; and, on Sunday morning, tea and farewell.
