Electric 911
Dutch company Voitures Extravert is definitely raising a few eyebrows by taking old Porsche 911s and converting them into electric cars.
The company’s Quintessenza project takes a 1970s or 1980s Porsche 911 and replaces the conventional engine with a modern electric power train underneath. The 60kw/h battery pack provides a range of 400km (roughly 250 miles) and can propel the 911 from zero to 62mph in 6.0 seconds.
At €300K ( NZ $ 507K), these electric 911s are “reasonably priced”, according to Voitures Extravert, with the sourcing of the donor car, parts, and production all included in the fee.
