CASH FOR CAR CLUBS

S howing the love to your car this month could lead to sharing the love with your favourite car club. Meguiar’s has designated November as Car Care Month, and, for the month, it is giving everyone the chance to win $250 in cash for a car club of their choice.

Anyone who spends $50 on Meguiar’s at participating outlets can get $10 cashback, plus the chance to nominate a club. The four clubs with the most nominations, two in the North Island and two in the South, will each get $250 in cash. All you have to do is nominate a car club when you fill out your rebate form — and, note, you don’t have to be a member of the club yourself.

Need help with the choosing a car- care regime? The number of car- care products on offer today is frankly bewildering, and we may not be alone in wondering if they are all compatible, or if applying one product on top of another is just undoing the previous step.

Meguiar’s feels your pain and, as part of its Car Care Month, is offering a free training event on the 28 November from 6.30pm at Meguiar’s East Tamaki headquarters in Auckland. Its technical team will teach the process of proper car care, and give everyone the chance to get samples of Meguiar’s products, plus practise applying elbow grease — or not, as some formulations have done away with effort almost completely.
