FANTASTIC FRASER

It’s a world away, yet so close

-

Picture this: driving down a beach highway – fresh salty air filling you with a sense of freedom and exhilaration – smooth sand as far as the eye can see with the ocean on one side and spectacular coloured sand formations on the other.

Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island are must-see destinations. The best way to explore these pristine areas is by 4WD. The Adventure Centre 4WD Hire in Rainbow Beach are specialists in designing amazing holidays to both of these destinations. Providing self-drive 4WD’s and camping equipment if required.

Rainbow Beach’s coloured sand cliffs have 72 different colours of sand. View them all while travelling the beach highway to Double Island Point – a great vantage point for spotting marine wildlife such as dolphins, turtles, sharks, rays and from June to November there are humpback whales. On the way stop at Honeymoon Bay, a beautiful area, with lagoon-like inlets perfect for children to swim in. Also, the home of the longest beginner surf wave in Australia.

Highlights of the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island include Lake McKenzie with its white silica sand and fresh blue water; Central Station and Pile Valley where rainforest grows up to 200m directly out of the sand; Eli Creek, the largest creek on the eastern side of the island, a perfect place for family to relax for the day and The Champagne Pools – rockpools that are natural saltwater spas.

The Adventure Centre is a family-run business with years of local knowledge and experience. They pride themselves on delivering personal service, designing holidays to suit each individual customer. The majority of their customers have never driven a 4WD vehicle before so don’t let that limit you. A comprehensive vehicle safety briefing is provided to ensure you have the confidence to tackle the largest sand island in the world.
