Phil says… The big­gest thing to avoid when shoot­ing trains is burnt-out smoke or sky. For this rea­son I got Gerry to set up his D200 so that he could use the High­light Alert to avoid these over­ex­po­sure prob­lems. This, cou­pled with the his­togram, al­lows you to set up ex­po­sure ahead of the train ar­riv­ing.
