OUR APPRENTICE says…

Phil told me that he rarely takes a picture if the light is not right, but that doesn’t stop him going out to take pictures in bad weather, as the light can suddenly break at exactly the right moment. I definitely felt very lucky to capture this shot of 34053 Sir Keith Park steaming past West Midland Safari Park towards Bewdley Tunnel. We had trekked down the track and up a steep hill to get this superb panoramic view of the field – but this spot is, in fact, easily accessible without the need for our trackside passes. I love the way in which the bright sunlight catches the side of the carriages, with the stormy sky in the distance.
