Using technology to get the best light

Before we started, Phil had worked out that our best picture opportunities would be with the trains heading south (or ‘up’ the line towards London) as this would give the best light. Phil checks the angle of the sun for any day or location using a free program called the Photographer’s Ephemeris (www.photoephemeris.com).
