Venture into most professional studios and you’re likely to spot some ProFoto gear. It costs big bucks, but it’s built to survive daily use by demanding pros, and while many of us would balk at the price of a studio flash setup, ProFoto accessories like this reflector make more sense.

Arriving in a 50cm flat circular case, the reflector expands to 120cm. A sturdy frame stretches the fabric taut and a pair of handles make it easy to position. Separate white and black surfaces mean you can either bounce back neutral illumination to lift shadows, or flip over to absorb light and reduce reflection.

It’s still hard to ignore the cost, given many five-in-one reflector kits are cheaper, but that ProFoto quality should give years of service.
