Lens tip
go wide on the street
03 It is tempting to keep your distance when photographing candid shots of buskers and market stallholders, but you will often get stronger compositions if you get in closer and use a wide-angle lens setting rather than a telephoto one. By getting nearer the perspective changes, making your subject look bigger, and showing more of the setting, creating a more threedimensional view. The background will tend to be more in focus, but this can be subdued by converting to monochrome.
