Longer is better

09 With most wildlife, the longer the lens, the better! On safari, aim for an effective focal length (efl) that is 500mm or longer. If using a DX SLR bear in mind the 1.5x crop factor, so a Nikon 80-400mm would be ace (efl: 120-600mm).
