ESSE NTIAL KIT Other takes on beanbags

You don’t have to use beans… in fact, you don’t even have to be able to sew!

01 The Pod A ready-made option, the Pod (http://thepod.ca/) comes with a screw that attaches to your Nikon, and a strap for your lens. 02 Camo beanbag The design of this beanbag from www.wildlife watchingsupplies.co.uk, means you can stand it on one end for added height. 03 Plastic beads For a more durable, waterproof filler, try beanbag pellets – we used these Darice Craft ones (www.darice.com). 04 Wild seed Take a tip from wildlife photographers and fill your bag with seed mix that you can also scatter to attract garden birds. Don’t get the seed wet, though, or it will sprout or rot. 05 Jumper In a hurry to get a shot? Just roll up your jumper and wedge it under your D-SLR for a makeshift cushion in an instant.
