Richard Young has been photographing celebrities and rock stars for 40 years
Young left school at 15 and worked in Paris and New York before returning to London in 1974, to work in a bookshop.
In a 40-year career his subjects have included Freddie Mercury, Marvin Gaye, Andy Warhol, Paul McCartney and Kate Moss.
In 2006, The Times named him “One of the most important photographers of the 20th Century”.
The Richard Young Gallery in Kensington, London, hosts around six photo exhibitions a year.
