We changed our lighting set-up completely for this image, as this would be our cover shot from our shoot. Surrounding Rio with the studio lights and camera, we were definitely getting up close and personal for this picture. The main light we used for this shot was provided by Bruce’s ancient Broncolor head fitted with his customised beauty dish and grid, which created a narrow beam of light on the face, and gave beautiful annular catchlights in Rio’s eyes. A gentle bit of fill was then provided by a portable Elinchrom Ranger head, which had been placed some distance away.
