I tend to carry out three main adjustments: tonal enhancement, to bring out the details and textures on the aircraft, a vignette to aid the composition and levels, and curves adjustments to improve the overall contrast and brightness. You can apply all these within Color Efex Pro at the same time by ‘stacking’ filter effects, with the option of using ‘control points’ to hide or show the effect in different areas of the image.
