Lloyd really knows his stuff, and in particular he knows what the aircraft are going to do and when the best opportunities for shots will come. All the way through he was feeding me information about what to look for, when to wait and when to get ready. For example, during the RAF Typhoon display he told me to watch out for a slow approach along the runway, which would signal a ‘touch and go’ manoeuvre, where the aircraft would turn away at full power after a slow pass, with the afterburners on and glowing red.
