Red star

I took this photo of the Red Arrows at the RAF Waddington Air Show, 6 July 2014. My camera is a Nikon D5200. I set the camera to sports mode on Continuous release mode high. Shutter speed 1/1500, aperture f/6.7, ISO400. The lens I used is a Nikon DX 55-300, at 300mm. Jerry Swaine, via email Nicely captured, Jerry! We went to an air show for this issue’s Apprentice (page 8) and 300mm is our pro’s choice of focal length for photographing aeroplanes too.
