Histogram
The histogram is a graph that gives you a visual guide to how much information there is in a photo’s shadows (on the left of the graph), highlights (on the right) and mid-tones (in the middle). You can access it during playback by pressing up or down on the multi-selector. If the histogram is bunched up towards the left-hand side, then the picture will be very dark, whereas if it’s bundled towards the right then the picture may be too bright.
