Here are three ways to use Curves to adjust the tones and contrast in your pictures

These autumn leaves needed a contrast boost to bring out their rich colours. Dragging one control point down near the base of the curve and another up near the top has produced a classic ‘S-shaped’ curve which is steeper in the midtones, increasing the midtone contrast.
