Hähnel has replaced its Combi TF and Giga T Pro II flash trigger and remote release systems with the Captur. The primary module (£60/$96) comprises a transmitter and receiver so you can trigger your camera or fire a flash remotely. The Pro Module (£70/$112) adds more sophisticated motion, light and sound-detection to the package, plus there’s an auxiliary port for connecting third-party pressure plates and the like. Meanwhile the Timer Module (£50/$80) adds the full intervalometer functions that were previously offered by the Giga T Pro II. There’s also an IR Module available, which can detect a continuous beam of infrared light from the transmitter and trip the camera shutter if it’s broken.
