SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-1 £59, $48
SanDisk claims some of the highest speeds for any of the cards on test (95MB per second read and 90MB per second write speeds). In our tests results proved slightly slower, with QuickBench recording 84MB per second read speeds and 68MB per second write. While down on the manufacturer’s claim, this result is still impressive.
The buffer test showed equally good results, averaging 30MB per second in the D600 for clearing the buffer of JPEG and RAW data, which put it just behind the PNY card. The SanDisk also features built-in error correction and protection against X-rays and temperature changes from -25 to 82 degrees Celsius, plus it’s shockproof and waterproof. After purchase there is also a one-year download of the image recovery software RescuePro Deluxe.
