OUR PRO’S verdic t

This is a good example of why you don’t need golden light for every landscape image. It would have been easy to add warmth by adjusting the white balance, and I’m glad Andy’s resisted the temptation. The steel-blue quality of the sky, reflected in the pool below, is very atmospheric; the resulting coolness gives the image a slightly melancholy feel. I also like the way that Andy has framed the shot – the vertical orientation has allowed him to include a good proportion of the sky. I look forward to seeing more of Andy’s photography in the future.
