If you’re shoot­ing in cities, you don’t nec­es­sar­ily have to ap­proach to­tal strangers to get good shots, says Damien. In a busy place, you can sim­ply frame your shot and wait for peo­ple to walk into frame. They may stop and ask what you’re pho­tograph­ing, but most won’t even no­tice. If you’re ap­proached by an over-zeal­ous se­cu­rity guard, though, it’s usu­ally best to sim­ply make your apolo­gies and move on.
