City Breakfast

This photograph was taken on a rather dark and rainy morning, when what light there was was reflected into this metal-clad alleyway to create strong silhouettes with nicely lit edges – and glowing breakfast bags.

By exposing for the giant metal plate I was able to throw the rest of the scene into near darkness to create striking contrast that makes the silvery trapezoid really stand out. Then I waited for an interesting figure to walk by.
