OUR APPRE NTI CE says…
In this photograph, none of the people in the frame look like they’re even aware that I was taking a shot, which was exactly what I was hoping for! Following Damien’s earlier advice about framing a shot first, I focused on the bust of Nelson Mandela, framed it up with some space to the right, and fired off a whole sequence of shots as people wandered past. By shooting lots of frames, I was able to get a few that worked, and this was my favourite. I really like the balanced composition, and the way that all of the figures are nicely separated. The complementary colours of the two coats are a nice touch, too.
