■ Shut­ter speed is the key to this tech­nique: it needs to be slow enough to cap­ture the trails, but not so slow that they blow out com­pletely. As can be seen here, the dif­fer­ence be­tween too quick and too slow is ob­vi­ous. The per­fect shut­ter speed al­lows you to com­plete the mo­tion, which is why us­ing the self-timer and hav­ing some­one to help you is im­por­tant.
