A key advantage that the Bowens head has over the Elinchrom halogen one is that the light can be dimmed. However, even at its maximum, undimmed power setting, and with the head zoomed to its spot setting, you’re still likely to require a rather wide aperture of f/2.5 when shooting at ISO100 and 1/125 sec, with the head positioned two metres from the target.
