“Waterfalls are perfect for teaching students how they can use shutter speed to blur or freeze moving subjects,” explains Nigel. “I got Enid to set a different speed for each shot in this sequence, starting at 1/1000 sec and incrementa­lly extending the duration of the exposure. As you can see, a speed of 1/8 sec or slower is needed to capture the water as a smooth, continuous blur.”
