Find a balance

“The key with a shot like this is to experiment with your positioning and composition, and with the relationship between the foreground, middle-ground and background elements,” explains Nigel. “Sometimes, moving your position slightly, or framing a shot a few feet to the left or right, or up or down, can make all the difference, so it’s worth spending some time getting this right. Ideally you want to have some separation between the various elements in the scene, but not so much that there’s lots of dead space.”
