We visited a Tikuna tribe in Macedonia in the Colombian Amazon, where we were presented with the chance to photograph the women and children wearing ceremonial outfits and performing a traditional dance in a maloca. As it was night, the only ambient light came from a campfire, and I found it difficult to focus properly to begin with. I was also using a shutter speed that was far too slow to freeze the movement of the dancers, resulting in blurred pictures all round. Increasing the ISO to 3200 and adding an small LED light panel to brighten things up made a big difference.
