After outgrowing his ageing D5000, reader Willem Pretorius is wondering if full-frame is the way to go

I presently have a D5000, an 18-55mm kit lens and a 85mm macro lens, all of which I’ve had for five years now. I have simply not been able to upgrade, even though I have done as much as I can with this set-up. My dream package would be a D810 with 16-35mm f/4, 50mm f/1.8, 70200mm f/4 and a 105mm f/2.8 macro lens. I’m working towards making this dream a reality. My main interests are landscape and macro work. The whole D810 set-up just fits my personality and photographic style like the proverbial glove. Would you concur with the above choices?
