Variation

Try out different layouts while editing. You do not have to use a straightforward, consecutive layout. Mix and match your frames however you like. Try some patchwork or rotate your segments from a random point in the image. Once you have masked all the layers, save the document as a .psd file before continuing so that you can come back to it later and change it if needed.
