CREATE A CONTACT SHEET

Print out a batch of reduced-size images to give friends, family or prospective clients a hard copy preview

Select your shots

In Capture NX-D’s Thumbnail view mode, Shift-click to select the thumbnails of the shots that you want to include in your contact sheet. Click the Print icon at the top-left to open the Print dialog window, and choose Index Print from the Print Type dropdown menu.

Choose a preset layout

Go to the Print dialog’s Page Layout section. Leave Layout set to Standard. Here you can click a preset box to choose a specific number of columns and rows. Here we’ve chosen 2x4, to create a contact sheet with two columns and four rows. Tick Rotate to Fit.

Create a custom layout

Set the Layout dropdown to Column and Row and enter a specific layout, such as three columns and two rows, then drag the slider below to the left to enlarge the thumbnails. Tick Print Information to include data such as file names, camera settings and so on.
