Serenity
I spent a weekend on Greece’s tranquil Lake Kerkini photographing the almost prehistoric-looking Dalmatian pelicans. On this particular afternoon the sky was overcast with a blanket of cloud, and this provided the perfect opportunity to lie flat to the shoreline, with my lens almost in the water, and capture the birds against a crisp white setting, with just the flash of red from their beaks to add a dash of colour.
