Jason says… If you can afford it, Kaleb, the Nikon AF-S 400mm f/2.8E FL ED VR (£10,200/$12,000) is hard to beat. For £9k less , though, Nikon’s new 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR is also worth a look (see page 102).

Jason says… Terry, a pentamirror uses mirrors to reflect the light through the viewfinder, whereas a pentaprism uses a block of glass for a clearer image.
