OUR APPRENTICE says…

-

For the Hot Shot below Joe and I went up onto Ha’Penny bridge, and I positioned my camera in the middle of the walkway. It was very busy, and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get my camera set up in the right position. I found it difficult to level the tripod legs with so many people milling around me, and I felt a little awkward, but Joe showed me how to use the spirit level on the tripod to get it level. This worked well and I’m happy with the final result. If I were to shoot it again, though, I’d decrease my aperture from f/9 to f/16 to give the lights on the bridge more of a star-burst effect.
