Pho­to­box ap­peals to the mass mar­ket, offering photo print­ing at com­pet­i­tive prices. Its acrylic prod­uct is sim­i­lar in con­struc­tion to the Peak Imag­ing one, in that the print is bonded to the rear of a sin­gle acrylic sheet. How­ever, the acrylic is only 6mm deep, and the hang­ing sys­tem is more ba­sic, in­volv­ing two brack­ets stuck onto the back near the top, plus two spongy feet at the bot­tom, giv­ing a float of roughly 1cm from the wall.

Us­ing the de­fault ‘auto cor­rec­tion’ op­tion, the colour sat­u­ra­tion of our test im­age was bumped up, giv­ing slightly more vivid re­sults than we ex­pected.

The hang­ing sys­tem looks and feels a bit ba­sic, but that’s in keep­ing with the bud­get price
