Ja­son says... Nikon’s gen­uine EN-EL15 bat­ter­ies might seem ex­pen­sive com­pared to the third-party op­tions but poorly made copies might mal­func­tion or even catch fire. If you want to save money, it’s safest to avoid very cheap bat­ter­ies, and stick with ones from a recog­nised, good-qual­ity man­u­fac­turer such as Häh­nel or Ans­mann.
