Live View mode

If what you’re shooting is in the tree tops or somewhere out of reach and you can’t get a proper look through the viewfinder, switch to Live View mode to help you set up the shot. Live View will help you compose your shot without having to stand up unsteadily and uncomfortably on tip-toes. You can also fine-tune focusing using the LCD display. However, autofocusing through Live View is based on contrast-detection and not the faster phase-detection that AF through the viewfinder uses. Phase-detection is more accurate, so always use the viewfinder if possible.
