Expert insight Auto ISO

Heather says... Ida usually shoots her D610 in Auto ISO mode, but I never use it. Of course, it depends on the light and scene in front of you, so I’m sure there are times when it’s useful, but for outdoor macro photography I’ve never found a use for it. By selecting the ISO I want (usually as low as possible as I’m on a tripod) I can keep noise to a minimum.
