Expert Insight Look around you

-

Heather says… With macro photography you usually have complete control over your shooting area, because it’s so small. Every bit of light in that scene is yours to do what you want with. But make sure you look around every once in a while, as it’s easy to get stuck in one spot. Ida and I noticed some whirligig beetles which I hadn’t seen in years, so we spent some time photographing them as well. You never know what you’ll find, and it’s important to pay attention to the small stuff, whether on land or in the water.
