For pre­ci­sion when mak­ing fine ad­just­ments, the three-way head wins, but only by a small mar­gin. The ball head is quicker and eas­ier to op­er­ate, while fine ad­just­ments are more at­tain­able than in many of Man­frotto’s pre­vi­ous ball heads, thanks to the ad­justable fric­tion damper and ded­i­cated pan­ning clamp. Over­all, the ball head is more con­ve­nient for most shoot­ing sce­nar­ios.
