For this challenge, we sought to push the boat out. Thankfully, so did everyone else!
YOUR PHOTO CHALLENGE: GO SHOOT… Reflections
The next card plucked from the deck was deceptively simple: reflections. We were already in the vicinity of Cotswold Water Park, a sprawling collection of fishing and recreational lakes near Swindon, and spent a few hours looking for fishermen to add a personal touch to our shots, but it was just too windy to shoot any reflections.
As an alternative, we thought it might be fitting to add another classic shot to our weekend hitlist – a lone pier stretching into a lake – but this was almost a challenge too far. Piers didn’t seem to exist here. Even a local fisherman couldn’t help us pinpoint one. Google Images came to the rescue again, offering tantalising glimpses of a couple of small jetties, but no real location information. It took an hour to find them in the end, and that was only by chance, when we caught a brief glimpse of them through a hedge as we drove around the area. Ten minutes later though, it was job done.
