Slow it down

-

Tony reduced his shutter speed down 1/100 sec, which at a focal length of 120mm means that there’s some definite blur to be had. By tracking or panning with the biker, you can maintain a sharp focus on the bike but blur the ground as the bike – and your camera – speeds over it. This is a great technique to convey a sense of speed in a still photograph.
