Peli iM2620 Storm Case £175, $180

Compared to the lightweight Air case, this 6.6kg (14.5lbs)option is on the weighty side, but it does sport wheels and an extendable handle. Toughness is a match for any case here, with the handle and wheels not letting it down. The iM2620 Storm is relatively deep, at 25.4cm (10in) inside, allowing a typical 24-70mm f/2.8 to slot in upright to save space, while its 50.8cm (20in) length and 35.6cm (14in) width make this case spacious without being unwieldy.

As with most of Peli’s hard cases, you can choose internal padding. Pick ‘n’ Pluck diced foam is the cheapest, but there’s also a movable padded divider set. You can add an organiser pouch to store accessories such as filters and batteries in the lid too, while nifty press-and-pull lid latches come as standard.
