Follow pit etiquette

The first thing you should learn about gig photography is pit etiquette. The photography pit is usually right in front of the crowd, just below the stage. Kevin says: “To avoid upsetting the audience, don’t hold your camera up in the air, and to avoid upsetting other photographers, try to be aware of what’s going around you –backpacks, for example, just get in the way. Oh, and then there’s my personal pet peeve: no dancing in the pit!”
