16 EN-EL 15a… but no battery grip

The D7500 is powered by an EN-EL 15a battery, a variant of the EN-EL 15 batteries in the D7200 and D500. The quoted battery life of 950 shots is a little lower than on the D7200 (1,100 shots) or the D500 (1,240 shots), though it’s still good for a mid-range DSLR. More surprising is that there’s no option to include a battery grip. This, and the removal of the second memory card slot, could turn put some users off.
