Focus point

-

Focusing is a very important part of photography – some would say the most important part. If you shoot in Raw you can adjust exposure, white balance and tonal values after the fact, but if your focus is out, the whole shot is unrecoverable.

However, the reason we don’t show this alongside the EXIF data is usually down to space. That, and the fact that in most shots it’s quite obvious where the focus point lies. But in situations where it’s particularly important, we endeavour to point out where the focus was, and why. I love it when you display the EXIF data of your images. However, I wonder if you could run a smaller image alongside this to display the focus point in a photograph, as I feel this is just as important as aperture, shutter speed and so on.
