Shooting remotely

When lengthy exposure times are required, camera shake becomes an issue, even when using a tripod. The small vibration caused by pressing the shutter release can wobble the camera and cause the image to blur. However, it’s possible to eliminate this using a shutter release cable so you can take a photo without having to touch your Nikon. Some are wired, others wireless, but they do the same job. If you don’t have a shutter release, you can use your Nikon’s self-timer function instead.
