Capture NX-D’s post-production sharpening tools are no substitute for capturing a sharply focused shot in camera. Experiment by using a narrower aperture such as f/11. This should help ensure that a wider range of pixels will be in focus, though the shot may be underexposed as a result. Bear in mind that it’s much easier to brighten up a slightly underexposed shot than it is to recover blurred detail in out-of-focus images.
