Go vertical

Although tempting to constantly shoot in landscape format when photographing landscapes, it can be hard to know what to include in your frame when surrounded by big mountains. To emphasize the height of the peaks, try shooting in vertical/portrait format. This will frame your shots to include the sky and mountaintop, with paths, rocks or streams in the foreground for a balanced composition.
